Walmart Shortens Some Stores’ Hours in Response to COVID-19

Walmart recently announced that stores open 24 hours a day would now have their hours shortened to 6 AM to 11 PM. Some stores that usually remain open until midnight will also have their hours shortened. Stores operating with more limited hours are likely to keep to their schedules. It is all an effort to give associates more time to clean and sanitize stores and stock shelves.

“This will help ensure associates are able to stock the products our customers are looking for and to perform cleaning and sanitizing,” Dacona Smith, executive vice president and chief operating officer, Walmart U.S., wrote in a blog post.
