Walmart Expands Two-Hour Delivery

Amid increased demand for delivery and pickup options, Walmart is expanding a pilot Express Delivery program to almost a thousand more stores. The program was previously available in just one hundred stores. Through the program, customers can choose from more than 160,000 items and have them delivered to their doors in two hours. Walmart cited the demand created by the coronavirus crisis as a motivating factor in the program’s expansion.

Walmart is escalating its delivery strategy to customers, most of whom are still living under stay-at-home orders, and at the same time bolstering its retail competition with Amazon.
