UPS Prepares for Growth This Holiday Season with Plans to Hire 100,000

UPSJim Barber, chief operating officer of UPS, recently announced that the package delivery company expects its daily volume to increase 5% year-on-year during the peak holiday season. To prepare for the greater volume of deliveries, augmented by FedEx’s decision to drop its Amazon contract, UPS is seeking 100,000 holiday workers. In a tight labor market, the company has its work cut out for it.
