Unilever’s New CEO Plans to Stick to Outgoing Executive’s Company Goals
Incoming CEO Alan Jope isn’t planning on making big changes at Unilever. During an investor event in India, Jope said he plans to stay on the same track that outgoing CEO Paul Polman set into place. Those goals include lifting its operating margin by 20 percent by 2020. Polman announced his retirement last week. Jope will take over the role in January.
Chairman Marijn Dekkers said Jope’s appointment represented continuity, saying the company was on track to meet Polman’s guidance.
