UK Supermarket Giant Tesco Making Cashierless Stores a La Amazon Go

Tesco shoppers in the United Kingdom may soon have the option of buying groceries in a cashierless store similar to Amazon Go stores. Tesco is developing technology to allow customers to buy groceries and check out without having to wait in a checkout line.

An artificial-intelligence powered camera network and sensors on shelves would detect what people are picking up and putting in their baskets, and automatically charge them for their shopping as they leave.
