Target Will Start Selling Levi’s Pricier Red Tab Jeans

Target has sold Levi’s lower-end brands for years. Now, the companies have reached an agreement to sell the pricier Red Tab jeans in 50 Target stores. The change comes as Levi’s moves on from the bankrupt Sears, which was once one of the apparel company’s largest accounts, and as JCPenney, another big part of Levi’s business, struggles to keep its head above water. In the meantime, Target has staged a successful rebound, as has Levi’s.

The move reveals that Levi’s, a brand that has been revitalized over the last five years, recognizes a kindred spirit in Target, a retailer that has been revitalized by focusing on creating an environment for strong brands.
