Super Bowl Ads Translated Into Sales for Coca-Cola, Reese’s

Some consumer product companies saw huge gains after their Super Bowl ads aired. Coca-Cola encouraged viewers to “show up” to work on Monday after the festivities of the previous night, offering its new line of Coke energy drinks as a way to make it through the day. Coke Energy saw a gain of 111%, while its zero sugar version gained 197%. Reese’s also saw success with its Take 5 bar.

While Doritos, Pepsi and beer companies saw sales decline after their ads aired, it doesn’t necessarily mean their commercials were not impactful in carving out greater market share.
