Ricki Rum: Colorful and Sustainable Swimsuits Made from Recycled Plastic
Most Americans have dealt with frigid temperatures all winter. Happily, summer is finally around the corner. While many might be ready for warmer temperatures, some are dreading the search for a new swimsuit. The team behind Ricki Rum was inspired to create their own line of swimwear after struggling to find a sustainable, fashionable options in stores.
Ricki Rum is a specialized line of swimwear created from recycled materials. The material is sourced from Italy and each swimsuit is produced in New York City. All of Ricki Rum’s suits are reversible and features two different patterns or colors with each suit. You can choose between one or two piece suits, and there are a wide range of sizes.
Ricki Rum suits are made with ECONYL fabric. It’s made with waste pulled from oceans across the world. This can include plastics and fishing nets. In the future, Ricki Rum plans to become a 100 percent sustainable business.
Sizing ranges from extra small to extra large in bottoms and one piece suits. For two piece tops, cup sizes range from 30AAA to 40DD. Straps can also be adjustable from the front or back. Color combinations include gray, blue, pink, navy, black, and red. Patterns include floral, stripes, gingham, and stars.
Ricki Rum allows you to look fashionable on the water while helping out with an excellent cause. These colorful swimsuits are an easy way to help our environment (though I recommend recycling extra clothing and plastics, too).
