Miller Lite Responds to Controversial Bud Light Super Bowl Ad
It seems as if Bud Light has inadvertently started a war between brewers. The beer brand continues to see fallout following its controversial Super Bowl advertisement. During the spot, Bud Light boasted about omitting corn syrup from its recipe.
Rival Miller Lite has responded to the advertisement with a full-page ad of its own. The brewer explained the difference between corn syrup and high-fructose corn syrup. In a statement, a spokesperson for MillerCoors said they wanted to educate consumers about the difference in syrups.
Bud Light has responded to MillerCoors’ advertisement, acknowledging the talking points and its support for corn producers.
In a statement to Fox News, MillerCoors spokesperson Adam Collins, VP of Communications and Community Affairs, said the brand is “happy to have this conversation all day long,” but doesn’t want consumers to get caught up in “made-up controversy.”
