Macy’s Enhances Its Rewards Program to Create More Loyal Customers

Part of Macy’s turnaround strategy is to stop relying so heavily on the customers whose loyalty the department store chain has already and to start securing the loyalty of occasional customers and bringing in new ones. Macy’s hopes to accomplish this in part by enhancing its loyalty program.

Rich Lennox, Macy’s chief customer officer, said Star Rewards has nearly 30 million members and has been a “huge hit” since it relaunched in October 2017 for credit card customers and then expanded to all customers in May 2018.
