Matt Parry is a Senior Director II Walmart US Marketing working on the customer experience team, leading thinking around customer, shopper marketing & Instore marketing strategy.

Matt began his career in the UK in 1999 as an Assistant Brand Manager with ARIEL Western Europe, moving into shopper marketing in 2003 with Asda in the UK. In 2005 he went to work for P&G’s where he spent 14 years working across the globe in brand management & shopper marketing roles. Prior to joining Walmart in 2012 Matt worked for OxfordSM where he led their shopper, digital, e-commerce & Omni-channel thinking. Matt joined Walmart in 2014 and has since worked on the Instore, shopper marketing and most recently customer experience teams.

Matt believes in the power of big thinking/big ideas that engage and excite. His goal is understanding customers as PEOPLE, not just numbers or statistics, and figuring out how to connect with them at relevant touchpoints. He also believes in the power of retail as an enabling force in their life, and works to unlock this opportunity and build an overall customer experience that creates lifetime value.
