Inkbox, the Two Week Tattoo: Unleash Your Inner Rebel
There was a time when tattoos were frowned upon. Having one meant you were kind of on the fringe, but these days, it seems that nearly everyone has one. Still, there are people who want to have body art, minus the lifelong commitment or workplace problems that tattoos can cause. Inbox might be a way for those people to have the best of both worlds.
When I think of “temporary tattoos,” I usually think of the kind kids get that look like stickers. These are fun for children, but not really something meant for adults. So I was a little skeptical about a temporary tattoo for adults. However, the inkbox changed my mind and redefined “temporary tattoo” in my eyes.
Inkbox is a tattoo that lasts about two weeks once applied. Regular tattoos go down into your skin’s dermis layer, which is deep and never wears away. This is why they are permanent. Inkbox is different, it creates a stain in your dermis layer, under your skin’s top surface. This layer of skin wears away through daily life. This means the inkbox design doesn’t just sit on top of your skin like a sticker, which is how a child’s temporary tattoos work. Inkbox stains your skin’s deeper layers, giving it depth and making it look real, but still wearing away over the course of a couple weeks.
Inkbox is easy to apply. First, you peel off the backing paper and place it on your body wherever you want the design. Next, wet the provided towelette for about 3 seconds to completely saturate it. Using the provided glove, hold the wet towelette over the design for about 10 minutes. You can then take it off, and in about 12 to 24 hours, your design will appear!
Inkbox uses a 100% organic fruit-based stain, wrapped up in cotton-based backing paper, so it is safe to use and free of dangerous chemicals. It comes in 7 different sizes, ranging from .05 inches to 5 inches. The company has a website with over 300 designs, so you can enjoy a lot of variety, all without pain or regret!
