Gap Commits to Sourcing 100% of Its Cotton from Sustainable Sources

Gap brands will source 100 percent of their cotton from sustainable sources within the next six years, the apparel group announced. Gap will have 100 percent sustainable cotton by 2021, followed by Old Navy in 2022 and Banana Republic by 2023.

Gap’s standard for what is sustainable includes cotton grown by methods approved by the Better Cotton Initiative, organic, recycled and verified American and Australian-grown cotton.
