Crua Hybrid — Everything You Need for a Great Night’s Sleep Outdoors
It’s a tough decision: take the tent, or take the hammock? If you are familiar with the camping terrain you are visiting, it may be a no-brainer. But if you’re headed to new territory, you may not know what you’re in for. There are benefits and drawbacks to each. Above all, you want a good night’s sleep, and you’d rather not schlep a lot of gear.
The Crua Hybrid is a water repellent tent, hammock, sleeping bag, bug net, and inflatable mattress, all in one.
Made of durable rip-stop nylon (the same stuff parachutes are made of), the Crua Hybrid ensures that even if you find yourself hanging from a tree in a rainstorm, you will remain high and dry.
A removable, built in sleeping bag rests atop an integrated and insulated inflatable mattress, so you are ensured a snug and pleasant place to sleep.
Aircraft grade tent poles hold the tent open and in place. Aluminum construction means they are lightweight–ideal for packing and for when using the tent in hammock mode. Its mummy-bag shape keeps heat from escaping around your feet, while giving you more freedom of movement around your head and arms, so you don’t feel boxed-in.
And it all packs down into two bags, each less than two feet across: one bag for the hammock, and another for the sleeping bag.
The Crua Hybrid tent/hammock is a generous 9 feet long, so even the tallest camper can rest in comfort.
And another bonus: if you’re camping with a buddy, you can combine two tents to make room for more togetherness–but only on the ground.
