Costco Is a Bright Spot Amid Mostly Disappointing Holiday Results

Costco recently reported a 9% increase in same-store sales for the 2019 holiday season. The announcement comes in the wake of disappointing reports from other retailers, including Macy’s, Kohl’s, and even Target. Analysts are going so far as to call Costco “Amazon-proof,” pointing to its business model and customer experience as the main contributors to its success.
