Consumers Are Still Choosing Stores for Their Back-to-School Shopping

While over 50% of consumers say they plan to make stores their back-to-school shopping destinations this year, it’s still clear that retailers with solid omni-channel marketing strategies are winning. 74% of U.S. mothers surveyed said they will shop on Amazon.com for back-to-school supplies, while 59% said they plan to shop on Walmart.com.

As for where back-to-school shoppers will make the majority of their purchases, 56% of consumers said they will be shopping in-store this year, compared to 29% that said they plan to make purchases online, per Deloitte data cited in the Coresight report.
