Campbell Soup Sells Nutrition Company to Seattle-Based Startup
Campbell Soup has sold its nutrition brand, Habit, to Seattle-based startup Viome. Habit is a personalized service that creates custom nutrition plans based on your DNA, blood test, behavioral survey, and body metrics. Viome offers similar services to customers looking to improve their health. Campbell invested in Habit three years ago but is now downsizing in an effort to shed company debt.
According to Campbell’s spokesperson Thomas Hushen, the sale of Habit is another step to increase Campbell’s focus on its core North American snacks and simple meals businesses.
