Another JCPenney Executive Is About to Leave

The management shakeup at JCPenney continues. On June 14 Trent Kruse will leave his position as senior vice president of finance. He joined the company in 2005 and oversaw investor relations, treasury and credit. He is leaving to pursue “other opportunities.”

Kruse is the latest through the revolving door of executives at the struggling retailer, starting with former Chief Executive Officer Marvin Ellison, who left for Lowe’s and was replaced by Jill Soltau.

Soltau has made multiple new hires in senior management, including executives from Macy’s Inc., Target Corp. and Walmart Inc. Last month, Shawn Gensch was brought on as chief customer officer, charged with the task of drawing more shoppers into its more than 800 stores.
