Amazon’s Stock Falls Amid Bezos’ Woes, but Analysts Aren’t Worried

Amazon’s Jeff Bezos took to social media last week to accuse the National Enquirer of extortion and blackmail. The controversy has caused turmoil with the company’s stocks, but analysts say they aren’t concerned about the impact his personal issues may have on the world’s largest e-commerce retailer. Ron Josey, internet analyst with JMP Securities, expects the issue won’t affect Amazon in the long run.

“I would be surprised if it had a negative impact on Amazon. It’s such a large business with a lot of different opportunities and operation. The way it’s set up with leadership across retail and AWS and the businesses underneath with logistics and advertising … there’s a lot of support here.”
