Amazon Will End Hazard Pay Raise in June

Amazon warehouse workers are less than thrilled after the online giant announced it would cut their $2 hazard pay raise in June, then handed out branded “thank you” t-shirts. The hazard pay raise was introduced in March to reward workers who came in to work during the early days of the pandemic. Now that pay raise is going away, with some saying it is too soon.

Amazon is handing out branded merchandise to say thanks to warehouse workers during the coronavirus pandemic, even as it phases out policies intended to help.
