Amazon Returns Contribute to a Massive Rise in Foot Traffic at Kohl’s
Kohl’s decision to facilitate Amazon returns has been really, really good for business. Overall foot traffic has increased almost 24% in the three weeks since Kohl’s launched Amazon returns in all locations. Though the retailer saw the biggest uptick in short visits (under five minutes), longer visits (more than sixteen minutes) still rose about 14%.
The companies started testing the returns program in 2017 and launched it nationwide on July 8. Kohl’s CEO Michelle Gass described the nationwide rollout as the company’s “single biggest initiative of the year.”
