Amazon Prime Now Has Delivery Delays a Month Long

Non-essential items ordered through Amazon Prime could take weeks to arrive, according to Amazon customers who took to social media and Amazon itself. As Amazon prioritizes the shipment and delivery of household staples and other essential goods, delivery delays are piling up for everything deemed non-essential. Under normal conditions, products ordered in the U.S. through Amazon Prime would arrive in just one or two days.

An Amazon spokesperson confirmed to Recode on Sunday evening that the new April 21 delivery dates are not the result of a technical bug or error; they accurately reflect Amazon’s current reality.
