Amazon Lockers Bring People to Whole Foods, but They Don’t Stay

Amazon put lockers in some of its Whole Foods stores so people could pick up their Amazon orders, as well as shop in Whole Foods while they’re there. Unfortunately, that doesn’t seem to be working well. While Whole Foods has seen an increase in foot traffic, it’s also seen those visits last less than five minutes.

“There was a substantial increase in micro visits in 2019, which may be due to the increased rate of additional Amazon Lockers and streamlined online order pickups for quick in-and-out trips,” the inMarket report said.
